Our adult program begins at age 13 and has been developed to fit everyone’s needs. Whether it is to learn self-defense, get a great (and fun) workout, or to learn martial arts skills and techniques there is something for you. There are no physical requirements to begin, we start from the ground up helping you refine yourself at your own pace.
For teens, the mental focus they develop through martial arts helps them improve their grades in school. In fact, we ask our students to bring their report cards to class so we may monitor their progress. When a student is testing for the Black Belt, we request that they maintain at least a B+ average. All ages benefit from the increased confidence, which can impact all aspects of life. We teach our students that violence is not the answer but they know, if they have to, they can defend themselves.
Martial arts is a discipline that is old as time itself. It’s our vehicle to gaining a balance with nature. It calms the mind, strengthens the body, and encourages the spirit to grow. Our student creed exemplifies this as we start each class by reciting “I will build my mind, body, and spirit. I will develop my strengths and overcome my weakness. I will meet challenges with a positive attitude, I will use my skills and knowledge responsibly and I will lead by example sir!
Martial arts isn’t just a sport or physical activity, it is a way of life. The confidence you receive from the training will spill over into many areas of your life and we can almost guarantee you will “walk tall” after becoming a martial arts student.
